The Kick-Off Session (TKO) - Starts March 15th (Immediately following Daylight Savings)

Captain's Meeting Sunday, March 14th @ 6pm

    4 1/2 Week Session - Free T-Shirts for all Teams - Reduced League Fees

         BONUS WEEK - the week prior all teams preregistered can play if they choose!

            3 Games Guaranteed per Match!

          All Playoffs will be Saturday, April 10th

            Our Spring Session will begin mid April and will run 7 weeks including playoffs at the standard league pricing

Please note: We are using only the 4 time-slots this year - Match start times are 6:45, 7:40. 8:35 and 9:30

*This is due to all the challenges last year of having 5 time-slots and schedule requests for early or late games since we then started much earlier or later

 The schedules were then so affected that we couldn't ever post more than a week at a time for all of the adjustments necessary

  This year - We will simply balance the schedules for all teams - no requests

Overview of "TKO" Sand Volleyball League Offerings:

        (League format details are towards the bottom of the page)

Mar 14th - Sunday nights - Men's 2s BB/A, Women's 2s BB/A, Coed 2s BB/A

            Sunday afternoons - Semi-Coed 4s - will join in with the Polar Bear league

Mar 15th - Monday - Same Gender 2s A/AA, Coed 2s A/AA

Mar 16th -Tuesdays - Triples, Women's 4s, Coed 4s, Open Gender 4s, Semi-Coed 4s A-only, Coed 6s

Mar 17th - Wednesdays - Coed 4s, Reverse Coed 4s, Open Gender 4s, Coed 6s

Mar 18th - Thursdays - Coed 4s, Open Gender 4s, Semi-Coed 4s A-only, Coed 6s

TKO League Fees:

            2x2 - $50/Team

            3x3 - $80/Team

            4x4 - $100/Team

            6x6 - $150/Team

*All 6x6 leagues will include referees this year

**On-line payments are preferred but they do include a small processing/administrative fee

Free T-Shirts:  Each Team of 4x4 will get 4 shirts, each team of 6x6 will get 6 free shirts etc., but please only one shirt per person so everyone gets one

            Additional shirts for the Teams/Players can be purchased at a reduced rate of $10 each, please list this request with your registration

TKO Session Format:  Each Team in the TKO will play a minimum of 3 games each night, 4 matches guaranteed - the top teams of each division will be invited to a playoff day on Saturday, April 10th.  We will keep the teams separated by their respective nights to determine the league champs of that night.  Then, we will run our top 4x4 teams, and 6x6 teams in a final match up against the other 'nights' to compete for a free session in the Spring Leagues!

Registration Deadlines:  Teams must be registered on-line by March 11th to be on the schedule the first week.  Payments MUST be made prior to the first night. 

            Teams that do not want to pay on-line can pay at the Captain's meeting on March 14th at 6pm

            Any team that registers after the deadline may still get into the league, but...

                        won't be added to the schedule until the last update and...

                        will be added where there are available time-slots in the schedule

Doubles Registration:  Doubles players will have a different Registration Page

            Same Gender players will be competing in the Bubbly Cup Series

Skill Level Descriptions for Leagues and Tourneys

        Happy if the ball goes over the net, unfamiliar with the rules/skills, most players cannot overhand serve

        Can get the ball over the net, usually with three hits, understand the basics, some can overhand serve but none can jump-serve

        Mostly uses 3 hits per side, spiking, overhand serve, some can jump-serve but no real consistency, aggressive play

        Consistent skills and aggressive hitting, most can jump-serve, good court awareness and agility, power players

TKO League Format Details:

     Coed 6x6 -

                Each Team must have at least 2 girls, but there is no Coed Rule (No required girl touch)

                all 6s leagues will have referees

                Player rotation is a must in 6s, rotation occurs clockwise and only after a sideout

                Back row players are not allowed to attach from the front row area

                Coed 6x6 offered on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Sunday afternoons

                *Captains, please email me if you are interested in a different format

     Open Gender 4x4 -

                Teams may consist of any combination of guys and girls, or all guys, or all girls

                (Although Coed would be recommended for a team of all girls, see below)

                In any 4s league, no rotation is necessary except the service rotation

                Open Gender 4x4 offered on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays

     Coed 4x4 -

                In Coed 4s, each team must have at least one girl on the court at all times

                Coed Rule Enforced - If the ball is hit more than one time, one of the hits must be by a girl

                Coed 4x4 offered on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays

     Semi-Coed 4x4 -

                Each team must have at least one girl on the court at all times

                However, in Semi-Coed, there is NO Coed Rule, (no girl touch necessary)

                Semi- Coed offered on Sunday afternoons

     Semi Coed 4x4 A-only -

                Same as Semi Coed, but this league is designed for our Advanced players only

                Semi coed 4s A-only offered on Tuesdays and Thursdays

     Open Gender 3x3 -

                Teams may consist of all girls, guys, or any mix of each

                Offered exclusively on Tuesdays

     Doubles (2x2) -

                We design our doubles leagues so that players can play in both Same Gender and Coed the same night

                We offer BB and A divisions on Sunday nights

                Our A and AA on Monday nights  (Yep, the A players get both if they want)

                On Monday nights all Same Gender players are competing in the Barefoot Wine AVPNext Series
